Privacy Policy.
Who runs this site
traderjeff.us is run by Trader Jeff. If you have a question about this policy or about your data, you can reach out at hello@traderjeff.us.
What we collect
This site collects very little, and most of it only with your permission:
- Analytics (only after you say yes). We use Google Analytics to understand things like which pages get visited and roughly how many people are reading. This only runs if you accept analytics cookies in the pop-up when you first visit, or turn it on later in Cookie settings. If you decline, Google Analytics does not load.
- Standard server logs. Like any website, traderjeff.us runs on hosting (Vercel) that automatically keeps basic technical logs of requests — things like IP address, browser type, and the page requested. This is standard infrastructure logging, not something we actively review or use to identify individual visitors.
- Anything you send us. If you email hello@traderjeff.us, we receive whatever you choose to include — your email address, your name if you give it, and the contents of your message. We use it only to reply to you.
We don't have visitor accounts, sign-ups, or forms on the public pages of this site, so there's no password, profile, or account data being collected from visitors.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site can store in your browser. Here's what traderjeff.us uses:
- Essential cookies — needed for the site to work (for example, remembering your cookie choice itself). These are always on and can't be switched off, because the site can't function properly without them.
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics, and only if you say yes. These help us see general usage patterns. They're off by default.
You can change your choice at any time:
Cookie settingsEmbedded content
The Execution Audio page embeds Spotify's own player directly in the page so you can listen without leaving the site. When a Spotify player loads or you press play, Spotify may set its own cookies — that's controlled by Spotify, not by us, and is covered by Spotify's privacy policy, not this one.
The homepage links out to YouTube videos, but doesn't embed a YouTube player directly — clicking a video takes you to youtube.com in a new tab, which is covered by Google's privacy policy once you're there.
Legal basis for EU/UK visitors
If you're in the EU or UK, GDPR requires us to have a legal basis for processing your data:
- Analytics runs only on the basis of your consent — given when you accept it in the cookie pop-up, and withdrawable at any time through Cookie settings.
- Standard server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and operating correctly — the same basic logging any hosting provider does.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us (at hello@traderjeff.us) what data we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Since this site collects so little in the first place, there usually isn't much to find beyond anonymized analytics and whatever you've emailed us directly.
If you're in the EU or UK, GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you're in California or another U.S. state with a privacy law (like CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. See the next section — we don't do that in the first place.
We don't sell or share your data
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. The only outside party involved is Google, strictly as our analytics provider, and only once you've consented.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we honor it automatically — the cookie pop-up won't even appear, and analytics stay off, same as if you'd actively declined.
How long we keep data
Google Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months before Google automatically deletes it. Standard server logs are kept only as long as needed for normal hosting operations and security. If you email us, we keep that message as long as is reasonably useful for responding to you.
Who this site is for
This site is intended for people 18 years of age or older. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
LionStrata is a separate site
LionStrata is a related but separate product, with its own accounts, its own data, and its own privacy policy. This page only covers traderjeff.us.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects or how it's used changes, we'll update this page. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
